iCandy, a cherished British family business, is renowned for its award-winning luxury pushchairs. With over 90 years of manufacturing excellence, iCandy blends cutting-edge innovation, exceptional functionality, and fashion-forward design. However, as the brand’s global presence expanded, its Magento 2 website struggled to keep up. iCandy required a modern, flexible, and scalable digital solution to maintain its competitive edge in the parenting market.
The challenge
The limitations of iCandy’s Magento 2 platform were holding back growth. High maintenance costs, limited flexibility, and challenges with scaling internationally were persistent obstacles. Unified approach

Redesigning the iCandy site
Unified delivered a bespoke Shopify website tailored to iCandy’s premium brand and growth ambitions. The redesign struck a balance between luxury and usability, incorporating cohesive colours, modern typography, and fresh iconography to give the site a contemporary aesthetic.
Enhanced Navigation & Shoppable Imagery: We overhauled the navigation to simplify the user journey, making it easier for customers to find products. A standout feature is the introduction of shoppable blocks that overlay lifestyle and studio images, allowing users to add items to their basket or explore product detail pages (PDPs) directly.
Mobile-First Product Pages: Product listing pages (PLPs) were redesigned with a mobile-first approach, improving filtering and sorting options. Off-canvas pop-ups were added to keep customers engaged without interrupting their shopping experience.
Visually Engaging Product Detail Pages: PDPs were transformed with an immersive carousel showcasing multiple product images, emphasising visual storytelling. Videography was also integrated to further enhance the customer experience.
Modular Component System: To give iCandy full control over their site, we introduced a modular component system. This allows the team to update and merchandise content effortlessly, maintaining a consistent look and feel across all pages. It also minimises the need for costly developer support.
Streamlined Checkout: We simplified the checkout process using Shopify’s built-in features, reducing friction and boosting conversions.
